Pre-owned5 in stockWhat Makes the Freedom Chair Different
Humanscale built the Freedom around weight-sensing recline instead of knobs and levers. Lean back and the chair responds proportionally to your weight and angle — no tension dial to set.
Fewer mechanical adjustments means fewer parts to wear out or fall out of calibration, which is part of why Freedom chairs tend to hold up well as used chairs.
The headrest version we typically carry adds weight-sensitive head and neck support that moves with you as you recline, a feature usually reserved for higher-end ergonomic chairs.
What We Have in Stock
Our current listing is 5 preowned Humanscale Freedom chairs, black with headrest, recently listed at $500 each. These come from office liquidations and moves, then go straight onto our showroom floor.
Stock changes as new batches come in, and we typically have more on hand in the warehouse than what's posted on our Available Inventory page. Call Will at 678-763-8975 to check current count before you drive over.

Comparing Freedom to Other Ergonomic Chairs
We also stock other high-end ergonomic brands, including Herman Miller Aeron and Steelcase Leap V2. Each handles adjustability differently — Aeron uses adjustable lumbar support, Leap uses LiveBack with manual recline tension, Humanscale relies on weight-sensing with minimal manual tuning.
See our Aeron vs Leap V2 guide for a deeper look at those two, or browse ergonomic office chairs to compare price points across brands.
Checking a Used Freedom Before You Buy
Sit in it and lean back — the recline should respond smoothly without catching. Check that the headrest moves with your head rather than staying fixed, since that's the mechanism specific to this model.
Look over the armrests and gas cylinder for wear, the same as any used task chair. Since we're a walk-in warehouse, you can check all of this in person before buying.
Outfitting More Than One Chair
If you're furnishing a whole office, we also carry new Cherryman desks, conference tables, and storage pieces. See Cherryman office furniture for desks alongside your seating.
Replacing chairs across a floor or department? Our bulk office chairs page covers how that works. Clearing out old chairs instead? We buy used office furniture from businesses going through moves, closures, or downsizing — Will makes an offer after photos or a walkthrough.
If Freedom isn't the right fit once you sit in it, browse our full brands hub for other options on the floor the same day.
