What Office Liquidation Means
Liquidation comes up when a company closes a location, consolidates floors, or shuts down entirely. There's usually a deadline attached — a lease ending or a landlord wanting the space empty.
Peach State Office Furniture has bought and moved office furniture out of Atlanta businesses since 1975, when the company started as Sliauter Inc. The process stays the same: we look at what's there, make an offer, and remove it ourselves.
How It Works
Call Will or send photos of the space. For larger offices, he'll schedule a walkthrough to see cubicles, private offices, conference rooms, reception areas, and filing systems in person. After reviewing photos or walking the floor, he makes one offer for the furniture as a whole.
Once a number is agreed on, we schedule pickup around your timeline — a moving crew's schedule, a landlord's move-out date, or a weekend so it doesn't disrupt remaining staff. We bring our own labor and trucks.

What We Buy
Liquidations usually involve a mix of furniture, and we take it all in one trip. Seating from Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth, Knoll, Humanscale, HON, Sit-On-It, and AllSteel tends to hold resale value, especially ergonomic task chairs in good condition.
- Desks — L-shaped, U-shaped, laminate, veneer, or wood
- Conference tables, from 6-foot rounds to 12-foot boardroom sizes
- Filing cabinets, lateral files, and storage cabinets
- Reception desks and waiting area seating
- Cubicles and systems furniture, including panels and worksurfaces
- Bookcases, credenzas, and wardrobe storage
Common Liquidation Scenarios
A full office closure is the most straightforward case — everything goes in one visit. See our Office Closure: We Buy It & Haul It Out page for what that looks like.
Other situations are more selective, like a company relocating and only taking part of its furniture — covered on our Office Move: Sell What You Don't Take page. Either way, tell Will what's leaving the building and he'll make an offer from photos or a walkthrough.
If you just need furniture removed with no buyout involved, our Office Furniture Removal page covers that option.
Getting a Stronger Offer
Grouping like items together, noting chair brands when known, and taking clear photos in good lighting help Will evaluate furniture faster before a walkthrough. Accurate quantities also help, since liquidations are typically priced as a whole lot.
Our Available Inventory page shows what's currently selling out of our showroom — a useful reference for what similar furniture is worth. If you're unsure whether specific items are worth selling, Who Buys Used Office Furniture in Atlanta? breaks down what tends to have resale value.
