The Problem With Office Moves
Every move leaves behind furniture that doesn't fit the new space: fewer private offices, a smaller conference table, a switch from cubicles to benching. A moving company will happily charge by the hour to load it, haul it, and dump it.
If the furniture still has value, someone should be paying you for it. We've bought used office furniture from Atlanta businesses since 1975, when this business started as Sliauter Inc.
How the Buyback Works
Call Will or send photos of the desks, chairs, conference tables, and filing cabinets you're not taking. He'll give you a starting read on value, then set up a walkthrough to see quantity and condition before putting together a firm offer.
Pricing depends on brand, condition, and volume. A stack of Steelcase or Herman Miller chairs is a different conversation than older laminate desks, and Will will tell you honestly which is which. Pickup is scheduled around your move-out date.

What We're Looking to Buy
We buy the range of what fills a working office: ergonomic seating (Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth, Knoll, Humanscale), desks, L-shapes, bowfronts, executive sets, conference tables, reception desks, lateral files, bookcases, and storage cabinets.
Cubicles are included too. If your old space was built around workstations, we'll evaluate panels and components for buyback during the same visit, covered further on our cubicle installation page. Larger moves involving a full floor or building are closer to a liquidation, detailed on our office closure liquidation page.
Selling and Furnishing in One Visit
Many moves run both directions at once: selling old furniture while bringing in new desks, chairs, or tables. Our crew can load what we're buying while delivering and assembling what's going into the new office in the same visit. See our office moving service for full moves.
Our office furniture delivery service covers setup and installation on the way in, alongside furniture going out the door. See the full scope of what we handle on our office furniture services page, browse completed work on our projects page, or start with furnish your office if you're also outfitting the new space. A Smart Move-Out Checklist
Before movers arrive, walk the space with this list in mind. It keeps the buyback conversation efficient and gets you a faster, more accurate offer.
- Count chairs by brand and model if known (Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth, Knoll, HON, Sit-On-It, AllSteel)
- Note desk configurations: single, L-shape, U-shape, with or without hutches
- List conference tables by size and shape
- Flag filing cabinets, lateral files, and bookcases by size and finish
- Separate anything damaged or missing parts
- Note your move-out date and any building access restrictions
