What Happens When an Office Closes
An office closure comes with a deadline and a building full of furniture nobody has time to deal with. Whether it's a full liquidation, a lease ending, or a department folding, the furniture is usually the last thing anyone wants to think about and the first thing the landlord wants gone.
We look at what's in the space — workstations, private offices, conference rooms, reception, filing — and make an offer based on brand, condition, and quantity. Will wants to see photos or walk the space so the number is accurate and doesn't change on pickup day.
How the Buyout Works
Send photos of the space or set up a walkthrough, and Will will put together an offer covering everything you want gone — chairs, desks, filing cabinets, cubicles, conference tables, reception furniture. There's no obligation to sell everything; if some pieces are staying or moving to another location, we adjust the offer and the pickup accordingly.
If your closure is a partial downsize — losing a floor, consolidating two offices — the same process applies to just the excess furniture.
For offices moving some furniture to a new location rather than closing entirely, see office move furniture buyback Atlanta for how we split relocation and buyout in one job.

What We're Looking For
Brand-name ergonomic seating — Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth, Knoll, Humanscale — is usually the highest-value category in a closure. Cubicles, systems furniture, L- and U-shaped desks, conference tables, reception desks, and filing and lateral storage are all worth sending photos of before assuming they're scrap.
Full cubicle farms are common in closures, and our crew handles the teardown, the reverse side of our office cubicle installation Atlanta work.
Older laminate desks and mismatched seating still have value, just less of it. Tell us about everything in the space, not just the nicest pieces, and let the offer reflect the whole lot.
Buyout vs. Disposal
A buyout turns furniture from a cost into a credit, and removal is part of the same visit rather than a separate bill. Coordinating a mover, a junk hauler, and a buyer separately means three schedules during a stressful close-out; we handle sorting, buying, and hauling in one trip.

Furnishing a New Office at the Same Time
Closures often overlap with another office opening or expanding. We can work both sides — buying out the old space and quoting furniture for the new one. Start at furnish an office Atlanta for a commercial quote.
